General Manager Job Vacancy

We are an established Company engaging in selling of new and used heavy commercial vehicles with clients countrywide.

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill in the position of a “General Manager”

Key Responsibilities.

  • To seek out new ways to increase and develop business opportunities, so as to enlarge the client base so as to maintain the company’s competitive edge. The General manager will ensure that sales are maximized.
  • Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and lowest rate of defection by building the Dealership’s reputation and relationships.
  • To create, maintain and develop strong policies and strategies within the recommended guidelines that will ensure growth in sales among other areas.
  • To control cash and working capital effectively within limits set by the directors.
  • To create and maintain an environment where all managers and employees develop and excel in their duties and responsibilities.

Qualifications and Other Requirements.

  • A degree in BBA from a recognized University.
  • A detailed understanding of the current motor vehicle retail industry and relevant experience of the highest level.
  • Practical skills, experience and knowledge of modern motor industry processes and practices.
  • An ability to create a workplace environment and culture that allows all employees to develop and excel in their jobs.
  • Exceptional customer facing and interpersonal skills to enable difficult situations to be overcome successfully.
  • An ability to negotiate effectively and at the highest level together with excellent communication skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of vehicle legislation, consumer legislation and trade practices in the motor industry.
  • Must be flexible in work habits and schedules with a main reason of ensuring that all tasks and responsibilities are completed on time.
  • Must have an experience of at least 5 years in the same capacity in the same field
  • Knowledge in Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 requirements will be an added advantage.
