Expat General Manager Job in Sudan

Our client, a well established company in Kenya is looking for an Expat General Manager for a hotel in Juba, Southern Sudan.

The successful candidate MUST have previous experience in frontier markets and Zimbabweans are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular reports to the managing directors and finance director outlining the strengths and weaknesses of the lodge and services provided.
  • Develop, train, and provide direction for all staff.
  • Promote the hotel as widely as possible.
  • Ensure that high standards of hygiene and quality in both accommodation and catering are always maintained.
  • Work with the accountant to ensure proper stock and cash controls are maintained.
  • Maintain relations with local authorities.
  • Work effectively with the managers of the associated businesses in South Sudan for mutual gain.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a degree or diploma in Hotel Management.
  • Must have 5 + years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be an expatriate.
  • Must be committed to the provision of quality service and be responsive to customer needs.
  • Must have a dynamic approach towards business development.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

Monthly gross salary: Ksh.297,000 -  340,000/= (Approx. 3,500 – 4,000 USD)depending on experience
