Country Manager Job in Ethiopia, Uganda & Eritrea

Job Purpose
Based in Kenya and reporting to the Deputy General Manager East and Central Africa region you will be responsible for driving sales within the defined region, liaising with Distributors and Partners to develop business and provide superior customer service as per the norms of the Company. You will also actively develop new customers and distributors as well as promote company product offering in the defined territories.

In particular, you will be expected to;


  • Achieve and improve sales and GP targets within the defined region.
  • Closely work with Governments and Water Companies to develop Public sector businesses.
  • Liaise with distributors and ensure that existing customers are well serviced.
  • Drive positive customer service through appropriate attitude and action, and develop new customer base and suitable distributors for the various product segments.
  • Manage top customers in the region and conduct needs analysis.
  • Train Consultants and Distributors on the Company’s products including working closely with them to drive specifications on projects.
  • Work with Contractors to grow project business.
  • Ensure that the Company is always represented at Industry Associations and institutional functions.
  • Ensure that the defined tender process is followed and completed.
  • Submit regular business and performance reports (weekly and monthly).
  • Provide data to assist with import ordering.
  • Develop and implement strategies with the market segment managers and product managers including, the Marketing department.
  • Develop customers and business within the Building Services, Waste Water, Bulk Water and Industry market segments.
  • Assist customers resolve site problems working with our service teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science, in Civil (hydraulics), Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Technical / Engineering professional qualification will be an added advantage
  • Marketing professional qualification will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years experience in the pump industry with knowledge of local competitor products
  • A highly motivated, self driven and aggressive personality
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Superior communications and interpersonal skills
  • Superior analytical and problem solving skills
  • Computer proficiency in worksheet and word environments
