Our client a leading corporate IT company With operations in Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, South Sudan, Swaziland, UAE, Uganda, UK, USA, Zambia and Zimbabwe is recruiting for the following position

BFSI Practice Director

The Practice Director position shall be responsible for providing leadership on IT transformation-consulting engagements specializing in insurance and banking services. Strong analytical, human relations, organizational and communication skills are essential, as this position will be responsible for leading groups throughout the projects and business development activities to provide optimal customer service.

Business Development

  • Has already sold IT projects to specific industry clients (in Africa will be a plus)
  • Use to manage relations with third parties/other vendors to generate more business or to deliver services
  • Leads execution of market strategies for well-defined client organizations of strategic importance to the organization
  • Demonstrates ability to identify new business opportunities within a given client community
  • Leads client conversations and market development activities, managing proposal development activities for new and existing business opportunities
  • Matches client problems to services and business segment capabilities
  • Would be considered a plus the capacity to bring quick business leveraging current network
  • Has a good understanding of the capabilities and direction of their client delivery team
  • Is familiar with big transformation projects and deliveries
  • Familiar with Budgeting, Forecasting, Planning and Project Follow-Up methodologies


  • Industry/Practice – Solid knowledge in insurance and banking.
  • Real experience in Consulting, at least one of the following consulting topics: Business Consulting, Process
  • Improvement, Change Management, IT Strategy, Governance, IT Transformation Projects BPO, Outsourcing.
  • Experience growing insurance and/or banking industry solution practices a plus.


  • Strong Interpersonal Skills
  • Use to lead complex negotiations
  • People Management (Mentoring, Coaching, Leading big teams)
  • Familiarized with high level reporting methods within organizations
  • Flexible enough to deal with a multicultural environment
  • Able to face and resolve complex organizational challenge
