General Manager Job in Nyandarua County

The organization is a dairy cooperative society based in Nyandarua County.

The society is seeking to recruit a dynamic General Manager who shall under the guidance of the Chairman be responsible for spearheading the profitable growth of the society whilst ensuring that key pillars of the organization are upheld.

The successful candidate shall oversee the development, implementation and management of the society’s strategy within allocated timelines and approved budget.

He/She shall offer leadership in the following key administrative and operational areas;

  • Milk procurement and extension services,
  • Marketing,
  • Animal feeds formulation & commercial production at the society’s plant,
  • Finance and human resources management.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience required:

  • A Bachelors degree in business/finance related field from a recognized university.
  • Possession of a diploma in cooperative management shall be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience, with a successful track record of distinguished leadership in senior management position; of which at least 3 years should have been in cooperative movement.
  • Must demonstrate a strong understanding of the cooperative sector and dairy industry; and have developed good networks with key stakeholders in the sector.
  • Must be a transformational change leader, a highly analytical and strategic thinker with good conceptualization skills and strong business acumen.
