Customer Service Representative Kenya Job

Our client is a specialist Insurance Company with operations in Kenya and is now on an expansion strategy. Our client provides insurance solutions both to large corporate and the SME sector in a refreshing style with large elements of out of the box thinking.

Our client challenges convention in all areas and offers market leading products and services to customers, and is preparing to be a very dominant player in this commercial space.

In order to grow locally and set up a platform for the region, our client seeks to customer service representative.

Job Summary:
Responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and the firm. Assists with
complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancelations, and other queries.

Primary responsibilities

  • Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media.
  • Respond to customer correspondence in appropriate manner
  • Use telephones to reach out to customers
  • Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling
  • Act as the company gatekeeper
  • Utilize computer technology to handle high call volumes
  • Work with customer service manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered
  • Close out or open call records
  • Compile reports on overall customer satisfaction
  • Accurately enter order information, including updating of customer accounts, telephone and contact numbers
  • Promote sales by explaining available services
  • Other functions that may be assigned

Qualifications, skills, and Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in customer service or any relevant qualification
  • 1-2 years Customer Service experience preferred
  • Keyboard and PC knowledge required
  • Must have ability to work with patience and courtesy in customer relations
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to think quickly and logically to ensure expedient response to customer inquiries
  • Must have strong organization skills
  • Enter information into multiple screens while listening to information from customers
