Deputy Secretary to the County Public Service Board Job

The Meru County Government wishes to recruit a competent and qualified person to fill the position of Deputy Secretary to the County Public Service Board.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duty is to provide the link between the board members and the secretariat and is accountable to the board for:

  • Preparing and circulating minutes and agenda of the board meetings;
  • Developing annual work plan for the board with the guidance of the chairperson;
  • Conveying the decisions of the board;
  • Ensuring effective communication between the secretariat and the board;
  • Provide guidance and advise to the secretariat on matters of ethics and good governance;
  • Any other duties assigned by the board from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Be a holder of at least a first Degree from a University recognized in Kenya;
  • Be a certified secretary of good professional standing;
  • Working experience of not less than six years;
  • Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the constitution.
