Sales and Relationship Manager Kenya Job

Job Summary: 
Our client is a growing and ambitious company involved in the business of making products for mothers and children and Event Management.

The Successful candidate will work with an in­house team to grow and develop the Company Business ­ in Products and Events ­ through strategic and tactical strategies that guarantee a return on investment and growth of brand dominance in the market place.

The Sales & Relationship manager will report to the managing director.

Key Result Areas:
Lead Role: Business Development and Sales ­ Products
Direct Reports: Sales and Marketing Representatives

Responsibilities

  • Identifying and enlisting new sales trading outlets, in retail shops and supermarkets *Mutually acceptable credit terms must be agreed on*
  • Developing the Hospital Trading channel,. ensuring the organization gets listed as suppliers and ensuring tenders are promptly responded to
  • Developing the online sales channel (B to C) via www.babybanda.com and leveraging our online presence for regional growth
  • Relationship Management with current Traders to ensure optimization of product sales in current retail and wholesale outlets
  • Developing effective strategies to drive sales growth through trade promotions and direct consumer promos.

Lead Role: Event Sales, Management and Execution:

Direct Reports: Events Assistant Together with Events Assistant, taking charge of the conceptualization, sales, management and implementation of all events executed at the Company.

Responsibilities

  • Pre­event Planning: Scouting, securing and negotiating rates for excellent venues that are representative of the company’s brand.
  • Choosing event dates and locations collaboratively with brand partners.
  • Liaising with space hirers/ contractors to develop appropriate floor­plans that optimize event sales and display areas.
  • Writing Event proposals that resonate with the targeted audience
  • Developing both the creative and conceptual inputs to events whilst ensuring that themes are relevant (website briefs, e­flier briefs, banner Ad briefs etc)
  • Taking the lead in strategically & profitably selling all Company Events where need be, approaching development partners, government institutions or relevant organizations for strategic partnerships/ MOU’s.
  • Ensuring relevant documentation for all events is on board and relevant records are kept
  • Collection of LPO’s
  • All events related documentation is signed off (e.g. registration form)
  • Terms and conditions are understood by all parties
  • Liaison with Finance Office to brief on sales closures in order to facilitate the commencement of invoicing
  • All event information is filed in an orderly way electronically and where needed in physical files for easy retrieval
  • Ensuring our web presence for all events is adequately updated including:
  • Developing communication material for our Company e­newsletter
  • Ensuring the company’s websites are always carrying current content
  • Monitoring social media pages and related interest social groups for publicity reports
  • Optimize opportunities for publicity with various media partners (newspaper articles, magazine articles etc)
  • To be the guardian and custodian of all event related collateral such as;
  • Event photography & videography
  • Event questionnaires
  • Event wall banners
  • Event stationary etc
  • Ensuring the logistical elements both before and during the event are managed with excellence. This would include and not be limited to:
  • Clear communication with all parties involved including sponsors, exhibitors and service providers
  • Contacting and contracting service providers as per requirement
  • Liaising with management to commission marketing inputs and ensuring they are developed to spec
  • Sourcing for MC’s and other resource persons for our events
  • Liaising with sponsors to co­ordinate their sponsorship activities
  • Managing every event to ensure that they run in a timely manner and that expectations of sponsors, exhibitors and participants are met
  • Other functional and professional duties that may arise from time to time

Educational requirements

  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field.
  • A minimum of three years experience in Marketing/ Public Relations.
