Franchise Operations Manager Job in Kenya

Sheer Logic is seeking to engage a dynamic individual for the Franchise Operations Manager for one of our clients in the hospitality industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Operations Manager manages the franchise restaurants operations and ensures development of its activities;
  • He/She constantly optimizes the offer and the results of the sales outlets;
  • He/She makes a commitment of confidentiality;
  • He/She is responsible for his /her buget and operating account; and
  • He/She is responsible for the training and management of the restaurant teams within and respects brand procedures.

Key Result Areas

  • Under the direction of the Managing Director, he/she manages the operations of the franchise outlets and supervises the operational and administrative teams under his authority;
  • He/She implements the operational and business strategy advocated by the franchisor;
  • He/She actively participates in the research of potential locations on the local market for future restaurants and does the opportunity and economic analysis for the proposed locations;
  • He/She defines the operational objectives of the sales outlets, determines the action plans and means coherent with the market and the company’s capacity while respecting the guidelines imposed by the brand;
  • He/She implements the projects and defined action plans to achieve set operational objectives, analyses variance and ensures reporting;
  • He/She participates in the budget preparation, manages and controls its operating account;
  • He/She leads and directs his team, implements within the sales outlets, the changes in actions or conduct and adjusting its organization if necessary.
  • He/She chooses and mobilizes the various internal and external resources in order to carry out the operational projects entrusted to him/her;
  • He/She is the driving force behind growth in sales revenue turnover while reducing costs;
  • He/She adapts his operational methods in conformity with the standards of the brand;
  • He/She respects the Professional Hygiene and Safety Standards of the workforce under his/her authority;
  • He/She ensures that the actors of local and international supply chain meet the needs of the entities under his authority;
  • He/She ensures inter-professional relations with stakeholders related/linked to his/her scope;
  • He/She advises on the development of the new product ranges to be implemented according to his/her customer experience;
  • He/She represents his/her activity even internationally;
  • He/She ensures the management of Franchisor/Franchisee operational relations;
  • He/She manages the operational risks of his activity.


  • Demonstrated experience at the managerial level with facilitation of commercial catering teams;

  • Strong ability to adapt and ability to manage his/her stress when facing customers
  • Pugnacity

Key Skills

  • Demonstrated HR administration required, with International Non-Government Organization experience an advantage;
  • Organisation skills are critical with high word processing and excel proficiency;
  • Knowledge of sharepoint and/or strong willingness to adopt new technology critical;
  • Excellent communications skills internally and externally;
  • Good interpersonal soft skills;
  • Confident in providing information as requested and taking initiative as required;
  • Proven discretion.
