Accounts Assistant Verge Insurance Brokers Job in Kenya

A vacancy exists for the position of Accounts Assistant, being an exciting opportunity in a newly set-up Insurance Brokerage House with high potential for growth.

Reporting to Insurance Brokerage Manager, the role holder will be responsible for establishment of
the company’s accounting, reporting and internal control systems, ensuring a high standard of operation and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • General ledger maintenance and analysis
  • Management and reconciliation of underwriter accounts
  • Cash office operations and treasury management
  • Preparation of Management accounts and reports
  • Ensuring full compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements

Qualifications

  • Graduate in a relevant discipline
  • Fully Qualified CPA (K)
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a busy insurance brokerage firm
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office packages
  • Experience with insurance brokerage financial and operational software packages will be an added advantage
  • High level of integrity
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • A good team player
